They are called A Factory And they're from Buenos Aires. That said, although we received their latest album, New Rules, Just a few days ago, we were confused about what era they were from. Yes, it's clear that seeing their photo tells us this quartet is from 2015, but their sound transports us to different decades. It's also clear that the beginnings of the beloved Virus are in the veins of their songs, and that takes us back thirty years. You can also feel the atmosphere of the final hours of the discos that blasted Duran Duran and Erasure. But then again, we also have to understand that the 21st century has been built on the recycling of old times, which is why we recognize them as part of the current generations. Anything goes these days, and for that reason New Rules works. Nostalgia works perfectly as a way to recover days we may never have lived if, truly, amidst the fiction, We give it an authentic identity for the present.
