The plan is as follows: Stay home alone. Send your loved ones out for a walk, for ice cream, to the movies, wherever you like. Once you've achieved your goal, simply lie back in your favorite armchair, get comfortable, put on your headphones, and imagine you've traveled far south on the continent, near lush forests and volcanoes that gaze out at the distant Pacific Ocean. and press play to listen to this little auditory gem call Under the sun, belonging to the Chilean project Transmission.

Rodrigo Astaburuaga, solely responsible for this project, He has lived for several years 800 kilometers from Santiago, near Pucón, and from there he combines his work with his audiovisual projects. His lifelong passion has been rock music., playing in bands like The Ganjas, Camión and Casino, And at the same time, he participated in the making of some of the most recognized videos in the Chilean rock scene. A few years ago, tired of the city, he moved to the far south of his country and has been recording his songs from there. That said, The noise hasn't left him: In his songs, some longer than seven minutes, he creates psychedelic moments of corrosive distortion, made in intensely soaring formats, where Astaburuaga's voice is part of another instrument, being manipulated with dark reverberations that integrate the words as textures throughout the compositions.

The work presented here is elegant in its construction and pleasing in its presentation. It is the work of a man who has found his new home at the ends of the earth without abandoning his sonic roots. Trancemission, suggests the author of this note, should be enjoyed in solitude: that is how it was created and how it seeks to be understood. But then, share it. Listeners of good music deserve to hear this simple yet exciting album.
