I don't usually listen to the radio. The few times I do, it's on when I'm driving to my band's rehearsals in the lead singer's car. and the songs we have on our memory list start to repeat. About three years ago, on one of those occasions (not very common, in fact), my friend decided to tune in to a well-known rock station in the capital and (Oh, surprise!) something came on that caught my attention: it was the song The devil, from the Bogota band Six Pedestrians. It then became one of the obligatory themes in every essayistic journey., because it provided us with a pleasant relaxation, which, accompanied by a cigarette and a beer, properly prepared the atmosphere for the sessions to come.

As soon as I found out that this group had released a new album, Dust, I settled down to listen to him, in order to say a few words to him from the comfort of my laptop. I must confess that the task was quite complicated. Not because I didn't know what to write about the new album (Composed of seven songs, it could be seen as a short LP or a long EP.), but because I couldn't stop repeating it over and over (and repeat it and repeat it…to fully enjoy it. Every time I sat down with the intention of reviewing it, it would play again and I discovered new things that prevented me from achieving my noble goal. That's the kind of thing you're going to hear, ladies and gentlemen…

Always influenced by the blues, these friends offer us A new effort full of good vibes, varied lyrics, and solid riffs (at times frenetic) mind-blowing guitar solos and precise drums. It's a rock album (very, extremely, rock 'n' rollAnd very well balanced. It handles the pacing between frenzy and calm well. The lead vocals, infused in some melodies with a strong blues and pop sensibility, delicately guide the listener through hidden corners full of feeling, agony, and heartbreak, inviting you to sing along to every song and hit play on them ALL again., until your ears get tired, which is very unlikely.

Ultimately, words, compliments, or descriptions fall short when it comes to truly experiencing Dust. You don't even have to spend time listening to it to enjoy it. Each of the songs hits the senses in a devastating way, And one can't help but feel ecstatic when another one starts playing and It fills the brain again with perfectly assembled sounds to give us a true experience.

I invite you, without further ado, to listen to this new work by Seis Peatones. I invite you to enjoy this great album., This is part of what the new Bogota and Colombian rock scene has to offer (along with bands like Revolver Plateado and Diamante Eléctrico), which is generating a lot of buzz and is well worth discovering and supporting. Go ahead: blast these songs and blow your ears off. and fill your soul with good rock.
