Niño-NuclearBy Rodrigo Ricardo @hhdrums

I'm delving deeper and deeper into the world of Latin rock. And You wouldn't believe what I've come across! Everything is interesting!

This time I've come across the Venezuelans from Nuclear Child, A band from Barquisimeto, who define themselves as "Noisy Space Rock," and who, I'm sure, will be making waves in the coming years. The album: Re & Sol Open.

This album is a total sonic journey. At times it can sound quite familiar, because these guys make no effort to confine themselves to any particular genre. The sounds they create with their instruments show influences from punk, indie, Britpop, post-grunge, noise, and more. They do whatever they please, and the result is absolutely astonishing, although, I must say, there's no uniformity in their compositions. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing, but each song is different melodically, harmonically, and instrumentally. What is certain is that each track of this work will take the listener to an experience beyond the stratosphere.; You'll want to explore the worlds that emerge as the songs evolve. Because there's everything: guitars, bass, keyboards, and even a saxophone sneaks in, subtly but precisely, within the orchestration that composes Re & Sol Abierto.

If you, the reader, have always been a purist when it comes to rock, don't listen to this album. In fact, forget it! Nothing that follows will interest you. But, if you are one of those people open to new sounds, to experimental vibes, This album is going to be like a supernova exploding in your ears. Give yourself time to adjust to this interplanetary journey and let your mind wander to another galaxy… To the galaxy of Nuclear Child.
