I swear: I've heard Enough with the music, new album by the Uruguayan Martín Buscaglia, At least twenty times, and each time it confuses me more. But, mind you, this isn't a complaint, quite the opposite. What I hear in this journey of eleven tunes, which barely exceeds half an hour by a couple of minutes, is extremely varied and surprising., Going from rock to samba, to the most basic techno-pop, to folk, to candombe, to the most innocent ballad, and suddenly, to seconds of extreme rage, which then give way to the deepest tranquility. And what to say about the lyrics, which At times they seem to have been made on a refrigerator door, with the magnets of thousands of words sticking to the aluminum of the appliance. There are moments of singing, others of speaking, and they talk about loving, eating, laughing, crying, making love: about percussionists lost in Italy, seas full of ships, and hearts crossing the Rubicon. I insist, contrary to what it may seem, there is no quarrel or annoyance here. What one feels, faced with such sonic frenzy, is genuine admiration. It's quite an adventure going from Chuza, the most energetic and carnival-like track on the compilation, where phrases like " «"Why is it that I'm a genius and nobody seems to notice? Maybe it's because I never did anything to prove it."», to Simple, The song, with a somewhat ironic feel, accompanied by a keyboard with sounds from an old electronic game, is where the artist unleashes his innermost thoughts without restraint.  «"I could give you back my love, but I don't have it anymore.".  In the end, Enough with the music It fully justifies the high expectations surrounding this production in the specialized media. We are facing... An impressive album in its beauty, its originality, and the affection it contains and expresses.

Such creative freedom can be intimidating for fans, and that's understandable. Audiences often prefer a safe bet, a path where they don't feel uncomfortable, where they tread on familiar ground. But, let me tell you calmly: Here we have a gem that you can't miss because It confronts (albeit tenderly) the listener and exposes them to a constant exercise in discovering new sonic possibilities. But, listen up, nobody is making them endure experimental industrial music. underground from Poland during the Iron Curtain era or anything like that: This is pop, real pop, but with a playful spirit. Here we have songs that shake us, move us, disorient us, but bring with them a warm reward for the soul. Here we play, but, as Jorge Luis Borges said, we do it seriously, as children do.

After going over this production twenty or more times, it's worth stating it clearly: Thank you Buscaglia for so much auditory beauty, which comes at just the right time in difficult times.
