We have chosen 8 videos made in the last 365 days to highlight them as our favorites of 2017. In this second part we have clips from Chile, Peru, Colombia and Argentina, These videos manage to stay in our memory because of their cinematography, editing, dramatic development, and because they positively enhance the songs they represent. Here are the other four audiovisual works that we liked the most in 2017:
Jose Biggs – You're leavingMade in Spain, This video achieves its appeal through details that break the obvious pattern. that the overly cautious viewer might mistakenly assume. This is a clip that breaks the mold once the eye is accustomed to what it sees. It has fun jumps that jolt the audience and find happy spaces of visual memory. Furthermore, the presence of the beautiful Swedish/Andalusian actress Ingrid García-Jonsson is something to celebrate.
We the lion – So finePerhaps this Peruvian band knows that line from William Shakespeare that says, "We are such stuff as dreams are made on." Perhaps the story behind this great video... part of that moment in which we have such vivid dreamlike sensations that we don't want to interrupt when they wake up. Freud would surely have been amused by this clip (although they say he didn't like music). In any case, We did enjoy the happy result of this work, which helps spread a great song.
Laura and the Typewriter – Like this, like this, like this: We said it when we initially reviewed this video. The edition respects and enhances the sound theme on which it is based.. This video successfully enhances the necessary drama of the composition through excellent cinematography and editing that creates a rollercoaster of emotions, skillfully combining numerous close-ups of the protagonists with the freshness of showcasing the deep forest where the filming takes place. The final product is elegant., in its precise expression.
Vazquez ft. Dante – SacvdeIt features a striking location, beautiful dancers who move their bodies provocatively, the company of a contemporary legend of Argentine music, and a song that is incredibly catchy., But what makes this clip truly stand out is the memorable use of the moving camera. And the delightful editing that infuses the rhythm of a song that gets everyone dancing. An audiovisual gem that rises above the clichés of the genre. and that should catch anyone's attention.
