Once again we return to The Opening, the first single from the Venezuelan group Arawato. We were able to review a few days ago the song, And we had said that we had before us yet another example of the vibrant rock scene in Caracas and its surrounding areas. We had also had the opportunity to lament how unfairly the Venezuelan music scene is hidden in the mainstream media and preferences of the continent. Well, to reinforce our points, the video has arrived.
Arawato has created a simple black and white video that features the band, but through delightful, simian-like animations, the action intensifies and the characters' faces shift. The splashes of color take over the screen, creating dynamism with every movement in front of the camera. This clip doesn't aim to be the most sophisticated visual art piece, but it entertains from beginning to end, effectively supporting a well-rounded and powerful song. There's no excuse not to watch it at least once. You'll probably want to watch it again within seconds.
