Band of Tourists releases his video Why is that?, And then they surprise us with a couple of details we clearly weren't expecting. A group whose sound is reminiscent of bands like Babasónicos or Juana La Loca, with a certain correlation to British pop-rock movements of the sixties and late eighties, suddenly showcases choreography borrowed from urban dances closely related to hip hop. And, frankly, the contrast works.
Although we don't know the pre-production process of this clip, we understand a little more by seeing the credits and reading that the director chosen for this occasion is the renowned DJ Romina Cohn. We imagine it was she who came up with the idea of connecting the musicians with the street dance scene and invited them to engage with this phenomenon. In any case, the experiment hits the mark, because it adds color and softens the band's visual style. The idea of breaking clichés and barriers is always worthy of praise.
