We must say something before going into the specific details: Chilean alternative pop is exquisite in its development. Their goal is distinction, and their representatives know that, unlike pop music in the rest of the world (with notable exceptions that we won't bother mentioning right now), simplicity works, it excites, it resonates quickly. To put it another way: Whether or not you have the budget to go overboard with the production of videos, photographs, and advertising campaigns, you don't need to resort to the absurd, the kitsch, or the extravagant to try to capture the public's attention. Simplicity, if done well, is better.

The most recent example is José Biggs and its clip You're leaving. This work was done in Madrid, Spain, and directed by Javier Bernal Belchí, It is a brilliant production finished in black and white, With images that beautifully complement a pleasant song that anyone can enjoy from the very first second. On screen we see one of the most beautiful women of the moment, the Spanish actress Ingrid García-Jonsson, alongside her colleague Jorge Femenía., amidst a play of shadows and gestures, where, through playful editing that occasionally breaks the mold, each figure is subtly distorted in their gaze, startling the viewer. The casting is perfect, and the reviewer imagines that it was all done during a fun shoot where The beauty reflected in front of the camera creates a happy argument. That, my friends, is called creating elegance and having a team that understands it.

We are thrilled to see this work and never tire of watching and listening to it again and again. José Biggs makes excuses to attend to it and knows how to use his international resources to make it happen. That has to be acknowledged.

P.S. If the artist in question reads this note, I would ask him to please tell Ingrid García-Jonsson that there is a music journalist in Colombia who wants to propose to her., despite the adversities.
