Among the channels available at that time, the easiest to tune in to were those broadcasting from Lima and its surrounding areas, and these were notable for the amount of trashy content that filled their programming. There we saw shows of pathetic journalism like Laura in America, and the contest shows with lamentable prizes whose names, thankfully, have been forgotten. In Colombia, the arrival of these antennas was called the era of the "Perubólicas".
Time passed, and it seems that some channels in Peru continued producing the same kind of sewer-like content. The model implemented in those years also spread throughout Latin America.
