After a 21-year career, The Ethnic Group It continues to make a difference. If there's any Colombian group that has understood... the value of being truly independent in one's work and the possibilities that arise from that decision, This trio is key. Without La Etnnia, I dare say, hip hop in Colombia wouldn't have had much relevance on the music scene, or, in the least dramatic scenario, it would have had a slower, more clumsy development, with fewer arguments for survival. Their merit lies not only in the musical field but also in the business arena, constantly taking a risk that others do not take and obtaining results that few can say they have achieved.
His new adventure is a well-made short film, with fine photography and a striking plot. Offline It is an eleven-minute audiovisual production that uses two songs by the band, Virtual Bandit y Take off your mask, to present a story of falsehoods, loneliness and violence in the heart of Bogotá, with dark characters with incorrigible pasts, using an aesthetic that blends cyberpunk intentions with the fearsome urbanity of Colombia. La Etnnia, without abandoning its message, has taken a visual route that breaks the traditional mold of other local hip hopper artists, and has obtained a high-quality product that marks a new path. True self-management is once again winning applause.
