We need to reward musical groups that do things well. We say this because the Chilean group Scrub, throughout their history, and even more so with their latest album, Gabriel, has presented to his audience a remarkable collection of material full of great songs worthy of repeated listening, This sonic work has already been accompanied by elegant visuals, exquisitely crafted and aesthetically pleasing. The latest example of this is their music video. Remain.
While choosing to work in black and white initially adds a special charm, in the case of this video It is brilliantly strengthened by a compelling argument and the clever use of chosen landscapes, But it stands out especially for its impeccable cinematography and editing that skillfully uses contrasts and subtle visual effects to highlight specific moments in the song. It's a restrained video, meticulous in its details and consistent with the song's sound. It's a job that helps the band take a step forward.
Due to circumstances unrelated to their quality, Matorral is not among the most popular bands on the continent, but their work is there for any of us to appreciate. This video reaffirms that premise.
