If there is one group that deserves greater recognition within the Mexican music scene, it is I Want Club. Its colorful electronic pop and its visual risks, that move away from conformism and conservative formulas in the Latin American market This makes the efforts of this band from Monterrey, established a few years ago in the Federal District, attract the attention of locals and outsiders alike.

While preparing their new album, already scheduled for release in 2016, Quiero Club presents The four points, a song included in the compilation Are, from the Spanish record label Charco. The promotional video appears to have been made with outdated technology, But that precisely helps to create a particular feeling of returning to tones recognized in previous decades, suitable for the visualization of the sound proposal. It is not about falling into the hackneyed and inaccurate strategy of calling this video "eighties," since it does not resort to the arguments and clichés of that era, but rather, it is a happy and daring use of tools from yesteryear in favor of the construction of new artistic forms that do not necessarily have to be elaborated from the most recent audiovisual elements of the current market.

Quiero Club wants to take a smart path of intransigence and breaking the mold. Apparently, he's taken the right route.
