We have always lamented the lack of news from the Peruvian music scene. Lima and its surrounding areas are fertile ground for generating more artistic surprises and When these have been generated, they have captivated us as they should.. Therefore, we have been delighted to see these premiere moments these days. Gravity, the new video from the group Interstellar Wolf.
We can circumscribe the sound of this project generally to electronic pop, noting among his influences such diverse references as Kraftwerk, Pink Floyd, Jamiroquai, Cerati, Daft Punk, Deadmau5, or Soulwax. Lobo Interestelar has released an 8-track album in which the band narrates, according to its members, "a timeless story that unfolds among planets and spaceships." Their music, in turn, retains some experimental elements of 70s progressive rock mixed with moments worthy of the disco movement., or the revival of funk in our time.
The premiere clip shows fun simulations of journeys to other worlds in elaborate astronaut suits, with movements that blend into colorful panoramas and amidst machines that are trying to assume a transcendent technological role. The editing is meticulous and makes the almost four minutes that the song lasts pass by in an entertaining way.
Interstellar Wolf is serious in his determinations and we celebrate that. We want to receive more Peruvian projects that have similar development intentions.
