A man stands in front of the camera, dressed casually, almost as if he were going to pay his bills at the bank without a care in the world.. He does this several times so that each take, during editing, overlaps with the previous one, successfully conveying the meaning of the work to the audience. It seems elementary, but it's not. A simple idea, seemingly straightforward in its outcome, involves a complex process. Faced with the tangle of projects striving for extravagance, exaggeration, spectacle, and high budgets, standing before the lens and championing the simplicity of the image above all else is no easy feat.
