BlackEsteban It is a powerful example of the wisdom of ending the armed conflict with the FARC in Colombia. He, a man who wielded a rifle on the guerrilla side for many years, now presents his artistic work to society as a whole, leaving a message of peace. BlackEsteban, in collaboration with the label Independence Records, releases his video Reconciliation.
The clip, directed by Argentine filmmaker Matías Mera, from Crane Films, The narrative is based on a journey through a large part of the country's territory, relying throughout the trip on the collaboration of different inhabitants of the country's regions to join together in the collective voices that call for peace. The most striking aspect of this audiovisual work is the vibrant color of the images that immediately catch the viewer's eye., giving a valid sample of the beauty of the landscapes and the spontaneity of those who pass in front of the camera and celebrate an emotional song with a clear message of understanding among Colombians. The editing also effectively enhances the rhythm of the song., whose chorus is simple and catchy.
We can say whatever we want about the music. We may like it or not, but the message BlackEsteban conveys in his song is undeniable. It makes us think effectively about what the development of the peace agreement between the sides involved in the Colombian armed conflict will bring us. And the commitment we have in the face of that fact, anywhere in Latin America. And although it may sound corny to some, replacing the exercise of violence with the desire for music at least gives us hope that perhaps we have a chance to live in a better world. So, Welcome to reconciliation.
