Sometimes it's simply about conveying an idea, transmitting a feeling, choosing an object that stands out and attracts attention, and infects us with the humor contained in the environment of the images so that we understand what everything we see is about. Anyone could say that this video has dance as its mere excuse, but the rhythm is happily captured in the choreography. Everything is expressed especially through a dancer in his silver top, which dazzles and draws all our attention, lending greater coherence to the audiovisual product we're watching. A simple yet effective work by this Argentinian group, who knows how to draw us into their excellent pop music. Exquisite.
Band passage – Singing to forget
Angels, daisies, see-through shirts that reveal male nipples. If anyone ever asks you to explain kitsch, Show him this audiovisual piece with its jarring colors and bold decor immediately. This Chilean duo has decided to go on the offensive, skirting and crossing the line into kitsch, making it their own, and seemingly aiming to offend the guardians of good taste and aesthetic correctness. Google a summary of the worst album covers in history: we're more than certain that's where Pasaje Banda found their inspiration. But make no mistake: if their goal was to stick in our minds for a while, they certainly succeeded.
Andrea Lacoste – I can't remember
We have before us an interesting indie pop proposal, with certain reminiscences of the electronic sound of the eighties, crafted with a pleasant voice and fine workmanship in its instrumentation. This Venezuelan artist, now living in Mexico City, presents a video with intense editing and pleasing cinematography, successfully placing her on the continent's musical map and attracting the attention of potential fans of a fairly commercial style, without sacrificing elegance in the process. Well done.
