At Zonagirante Estudio we work from a centuries-old tradition: the visual sampling. Like the Dadaist photomontages of the 1920s, Warhol's pop art of the 1960s, or hip-hop beats constructed from rare vinyl records, we create original images by rearranging material from multiple sources.

The difference today: we use artificial intelligence as a sample bank, Just as Miles Davis and Teo Macero used studio jams as base material to build entire albums in the editing process.

We don't generate with AI. We design with sampling.

OUR PROCESS:

1. IN-DEPTH INTERPRETATION

Before sampling, we listen. We talk, suggest references, explore what it could be. Sampling only works when there's clarity about what you want to communicate.

2. RESEARCH AND CONTEXT

We study what already exists: posters, campaigns, styles relevant to your project. As hip-hop producers searching for the perfect break, we track visual references not to repeat them, but to... rethinking language.

3. SAMPLE GENERATION

We use generative AI to create base materialTextures, shapes, and elements that would be difficult or slow to produce manually. AI doesn't design— generates samples. Just like a vinyl record contains the riff, but the producer makes the beat.

4. SAMPLING AND COMPOSITION

Here's where the real design begins: we cut, rearrange, juxtapose. Like Teo Macero editing tapes with a razor blade, or DJ Shadow building layers of vinyl, we compose from multiple fragments. Photoshop is our sampler.

5. PROCESSING AND REFINING

Adjustments to color, depth, and texture. Filters, masks, and integration. How to apply reverb to a sample or pitch-shifting to a vocal: The processing transforms the raw material into something new..

6. DELIVERY WITH INTENTION

We don't deliver "something pretty." We deliver visual composition built with samplingOriginal, memorable, impossible to replicate. Each piece is unique because the edition is unique.

• Sampling as a tradition: We didn't invent anything. We continued a 100-year-old practice (Dada, Pop Art, Hip-hop).
• Radical transparency: We recognize sources. AI, photos, textures — it's all source material.
