Tappan – The Way
The first thing to appreciate about William Tappan is his honest commitment to rock, to its traditional aesthetic, which in his hands, unlike what we've seen in other artists, retains its freshness and appeal for his audience. Tappan is a musician who stirs emotions with his guitar work and adds sensitivity to his songs with his raspy voice. Moreover, and this is no small detail, his figure is credible and powerful, knowing how to create, at least among his fans, a credible myth in any of the circumstances in which his image is disseminated. In this video, with its agile editing and skillful cinematography, her presence creates a sense of mystery, contrasting the black and white of downtown Bogotá with the vibrant colors of the countryside outside the Colombian capital. This is a fine piece of audiovisual work, thanks to its clean process, its confident timing of the song's rhythm, and the respect it shows for all the elements that contribute to the final result.
Velvety – In the city of fury
It's been a long time since we've seen a sound and visual piece from the most representative group of Colombian rock that moved us as much as this wonderful tribute to the artistry of the late Gustavo Cerati. It must be said, here the duo of Andrea Echeverri and Héctor Buitrago sounds fresh, encouraging, and refreshing, just like in the days of... Atomic Caribbean, It's been quite a while now. They made one of the most famous songs in the Soda Stereo catalog their own and, in doing so, recovered the lost audacity of other times. And to top it all off, they've released the song with a fantastic video that perfectly captures the essence of the city's vibrant energy. Buenos Aires has rarely looked so beautiful in the hands of foreign artists. In short, a truly wonderful piece of work that deserves unwavering applause.
1280 souls – Inheritance
Bogotá's rock scene owes a great debt to this band, which will soon celebrate its thirtieth anniversary and continues to pave the way for independence, self-management, and a message that makes no concessions to the establishment. 1280 Almas is currently experiencing one of the most brilliant phases of its career. and marks the moment with a curiously constructed clip, noisy in its assembly, intense in its elaboration. With their unique style, the band movingly portrays that bizarre Bogotá, full of amazing characters who often go unnoticed amidst the fast pace of daily life. These are beings with many gadgets and gizmos, trying to connect with the rest of humanity. The visual metaphor works and, incidentally, enhances the musical fusion of the recording.
